Reaction Paper on Deconstruction of Thank You M'am

        There are many acts of kindness each day. Being understanding and generous are one of those acts. Those acts are recognized in the story "Thank You Ma'am". Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones is showing that attitudes to a boy named Roger, the one who tried to snatch her purse. Being kind and understanding is a very nice attitude but the situation of Roger in the story is very serious. Imagine, he tried to snatch the purse from Mrs. Jones. He needs a more solid way of punishment. He requires discipline that will show him how complicated life can be.   
        The first thing that would come to our mind is how caring and kind Mrs. Jones is,that she tried to teach him from right to wrong. She gave him a food and a nice conversation. She even gave him chance to escape,which he chose not to take. While reading the deconstruction I realized that we have the same opinion and reaction with the writer. We both recognize the mistake of Mrs. Jones. I agree to the writer when he mentioned that not every victim of Roger would be sensitive like Mrs. Jones. What Mrs. Jones had  shown to Roger is not an effective way of punishment. I can say that reading the deconstruction is a good choice for me to read because you will know what other readers have recognized in the story and what are the opinions about the story.
       What I find surprising is when Mrs. Jones said "Well you didn't have to snatch my pocketbook to get some blue suede shoes,you could have asked me". There are many faulty choices of judgments made in this comment mainly because the outcome of the situation almost never happen in a real life. And after being told by Mrs. Jones,Roger would believe that everything he wants will be in his property if he would just ask. It is very unbelievable. Even me would never have all I want to have the things I want even if I just ask my parents. When Mrs. Jones said that,she seemed to be boastful. She even don't know of any information about the boy except his name. To trick a child into being convinced that if you just ask a man for money or anything that he/she will give it to you is morally wrong.
     In “Thank You, Ma’am,” the apparent theme is not as it seems, and the true meaning is shown, that as complicated as life is, there is not always someone for one to depend on.  Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones may have seemed like a strong role model for the boy, but truly set a poor example for the boy by convincing him, not knowingly, but in her sub-conscious, that it is admirable to steal and beg for things that you do not have and want.

Reflective Essay

      Teachers has his/her own way on how to improve and motivate their students. In our case, we are told to make a blog. We are required to post our written compostion in our blogs and allow everyone to view it. I enjoy making my blog and encoding the different composition that i wrote. Encoding is tiring but it helps improve our typing skill. Im also happy that I learn new styles or way on how to express myself through this site. This helps me to improve my knowledge about computers and its different sites.

What Christmas Means To Me?

       Every year, Christmas is celebrated all over the world. People are getting busy when Christmas is coming. We prepare for the most awaited event in the year. We celebrate it because it is known as the birthdate of our savior Jesus Christ but for you what is the real meaning of Christmas?
       Christmas has a deepest meaning to me. The simpliest word to say is happiness. But to commit it, we should know the three things. Let me say that the spices to obtain happiness are forgiving, loving, and sharing. Forgiving for me is much important, much more on Christmas because for me the real meaning of Christmas is forgiveness to those people who commit sin against us. Loving for me has also relevant importance due to the fact that giving forgiveness is in need of love to the person who want you to forgive, so that you get the fullfilment and contemptation you want to achieve on Christmas day, not only on Christmas moreover to the years come. Without a doubt, sharing is the first and much important to achieve happiness on Christmas season, because the true essence of Christmas for me is sharing blessing you've had not only inside the house nevertheless to the people around us who are in need or less fortune.
        In over all if you forgive, love and share on Christmas season you obtain the true happiness you're searching for, so be happy always. And without asking a question we do this because God's well and the memory of Jesus Christ when he was born.

Change

       Change is something we want to make a difference or to become different. Change is what people aimed for especially now, to live peacefully in this world.
       Change begins with ourselves. You will not obtain the real change if you are not going to start it within yourself, for everything must start out with you. We are the starting point of change. This is where we begin doing things. There are many things  in myself that I want to change. One of it is my attitude of being lazy. I realize that being lazy is one of the hindrances to success. It may destruct my ambitions and dreams that I want to achieve.
      Change is one of the important things in our nation because it is one of the keys to be peacefully living in this world. One of the changes that I want for our nation is the good communication among different countries, not only in Asia but also in other continents. It is good to have good communication in other countries due to the fact that having it will give us a good relationship with other countries and it will help our country to be agressive. We can easily ask for help if we want to. This will also improve the unity of the people. Good communication is for the sake not only of the country bit also for all the people.
        In the world there are lots of changes to be done. One thing is the physical form of the world which is now in dangered and damage. There is a hole in the ozone layer which causes the global warming. Now the whole world is experiencing different calamities which we thought that it is the end of the world. And we have nothing to blame but ourselves. We are not taking care of our environment instead, we destruct it. There are only few who are aware about the condition of our world.
         In order to achieve this, we must act and unite. We should help each other all the time so we can achieve the things we want for the betterment of ourselves.

Our Values Today

            Values are very important because it's the reason why people understand each other and communicate.
values also talks about characteristic and traits.
            Our values today is not the same as what we had before. there are many changes that happened. As what we have heared/seen in the TV patrol, and radio, accidents or bad incidents happened in places like Manila, Cebu, Maguindanao, and even here in our place due to reckless drivers, drug addicts, carnappers, kidnappers and others. These kind of people did not keep in themeselves the real spirit of love, peace, and joy.
             Based on what is happening around us, I could say that many of our youth are forgetting the good virtues. And for whatever reasons they may have, it is more advantageous to have a healthy living.
             Good values should be maintained in the family or in any society to achieve/have a peaceful and happy life because our attitude toward others counts much in gaining respect from them.
             For me, nobody can change a person's attitude or value. It is himself/herself should start the change. So, to be able to help, I will be demonstrating a good value or I will be a role model of having some good values.

My Teacher, My Hero

        What is a hero for you? For me a hero is not just the one who has a super powers, who fly and can easily defeat those bad people, but the one who helps you to be a better person, or helps when you are in need. Being a hero is not a task that is needed to be done. It is the willingness of the person to help his/her country men and fellowmen.
      One those whom I consider a hero are the teacher. In my 11 years in school, I already encountered or met a lot of teachers from preschool until now that I'm in high school. But there's one teacher that I never forget i my elementary years. She's Mrs. Agnes Corda. She's my teacher in Math when I was in Grade 5 and my Social Studies teacher in Grade 6 at the same time my coach in badminton. Though she's very strict, she's also kind to us. She would not go to another lesson unless we understand the lesson that we had. I also like her because like a hero, she is brave/strong. She never easily gives up. One thing that she told me before was that I should not give up if there are big challenges and problems coming to me. As she said, there is a solution in every problem taht God is just beside us. she's right. We should not stay on the ground and we should not give up. We should face those problems we encountetr with the presence of God.
     All the teachers are hero for me. They are the one who give effort to teach us so that we can have a brighter future and we became a good citizen. Because of them, there are now professional persons like Nurses, Doctors, Engineers, and etc. that help improve our lives and our country now. Thanks for those teachers.
